Free SME booklet proves a hit

Oct 28, 2005
A free booklet from @UK, that encourages businesses to become e-enabled for online trading, is proving a hit. Copies have been requested by local authorities as far apart as Northern Ireland, Derbyshire, Rochdale and Devon for distribution to their local suppliers.

The booklet, entitled “20 ways”, contains useful tips and advice for SME’s, and illustrates how on-line trading can make their businesses more profitable - for example, by allowing customers to view and/or order products and services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and by providing online invoicing that saves time, postage, stationery and staff costs. The booklet also explains how, by using the @UK network, suppliers can benefit from a cost-effective and fully e-commerced website from just £48 per annum, allowing them to promote and sell their products and services not just to the public sector but to the world at large

The booklet is available to UK local authorities free of charge. To request some sample booklets click here
