eProcurement platform boosted by key enhancements

Jun 05, 2006
The latest version of @UK PLC’s flagship product, release 6.0 of Site Generator is available from June 2006. Buyers using @UK to provide purchase to pay functionality will see several new features whilst a new, more flexible process will allow suppliers to design and layout their websites without any restrictions.

Buy side users will now see a uniform view of all their suppliers while purchasers will still only be able to buy goods and services for which they have full authority- eliminating maverick purchasing. Integration with all major finance packages will be improved. An advanced approvals system will support an unlimited number of approvers and approval levels, allowing organisations to scale the system according to needs. Financial transactions, goods, contracts and specifications will have their own approval procedures. In case of holidays or failure to respond, the system will automatically delegate the approval process elsewhere. Secure messaging between @UK, buyers and suppliers will now be a straightforward automated installation process with in-built integrity checking.

“Around 1 million UK businesses are employing e-commerce for buying and selling services and products online,” explained @UK PLC technical director Ronald Duncan. “@UK is processing a significant share of those transactions. We have thousands of suppliers and over 70 local authorities on board operating a combined spend of over £1 billion. This is a huge growth area, with local authorities and SMEs across the UK joining in.”
